ANZAC Day

We Have Been Learning about the ANZACs in WW1 and WW2.
Here is a picture of my Great Popa in his army suit.

Here are 30 crosses from the Christchurch City Council to put out on our field to remember the ANZACs who fought in the war. Everyone at school made a poppy and put theirs down one by one.

Here is my ANZAC slide of ANZAC Day

  1. YOu are stepping up for success with this Sean. You were asked to think more critically about the depth of your posts... and I feel you have answered that fantastically! This post shows your learning, based on your reading activities. It ;links to things that are going on in our school, and how you participated in that. The thing I love most is that you sought knowledge about your own ancestry and the links you have to both sides of the war. You shared a fascinating story that is unique, in our classroom However is spurred many questions for me, such as... How common was this? I bet there are countless families that suffered, probably in silence, with the very same problem!
